When do individuals seek non-standard advice
People are seeking advice more and more from Tiktok and non-traditional sources with an informal conversatation. However, researchers don't fully understand why people seek advice in these domains.
Could researchers test potential null effects with LLMs
Previous research has found that LLMs are a great tool for predicting potential outcome of research. With some suggesting that these models could even simulate human participants. However, it is less clear if they are only able to predict hypothesis that is already in their training corpus. We are testing if LLMs are able to predict novel null results specifically tested for this project.
Linguistic cueues for urgency
In a field study with novel TikTok data, we are are trying to study what lingustic and auditory cues promopt urgency in individuals to making purchase decision.
